King's Cross is where trains from Yorkshire, the North East and Scotland finish their run. After four hours from Edinburgh or two from York, the last thing most people want is to cross London on the Tube to Waterloo and then catch another train. Who travels through King's Cross
The station is served by LNER, Grand Central, Hull Trains, Lumo and Great Northern. That covers much of the East Coast Main Line, including Edinburgh, Newcastle, York, Leeds and Peterborough. St Pancras International is directly across Pancras Road, so we also collect Eurostar passengers and travellers arriving on Thameslink or East Midlands Railway. Just tell us which station you are actually coming into.

The drive home
From King's Cross the driver usually heads south-west through the West End and over the river, then follows the A3 out of London before turning off for Thames Ditton. Some prefer the route through Kensington and Richmond. The distance is roughly 17 to 19 miles.

Why book a car rather than a black cab?
A black cab from the rank runs on the meter, so the price rises with every minute stuck on Euston Road. Our fares are fixed when you book. You also get the vehicle you need: a 7 seater taxi if a family has been visiting relatives up north, or an estate for bikes and big bags. Child seats are available on request.
Going the other way
We drive the route in both directions. If you are catching a morning LNER train to Edinburgh, we can collect you in Thames Ditton early enough to make your departure comfortably. We pick up from every area we cover, including Kingston upon Thames, Surbiton and Esher.
