London Bridge is the oldest station in London and one of the busiest, rebuilt in the 2010s around a large street-level concourse. Thameslink, Southern and Southeastern all stop here, and the City of London is just over the river. Trains through London Bridge
Thameslink runs north to south through the station, linking Bedford, Cambridge and Peterborough with Gatwick and Brighton. Southern and Southeastern carry commuters from Sussex, Surrey and Kent. If you are changing here on your way home, a car can be more direct than crossing London to Waterloo, especially late at night.
Travelling from the City
The station is close to offices in the City and around More London by Tower Bridge. For late finishes, a booked car at a fixed fare is a straightforward way home. If you need a receipt for your employer, ask the office when you book. If you work late regularly, the office can keep your usual details on file so booking is quicker.
Route to Thames Ditton
London Bridge is on the south bank in Southwark, so the car does not need to cross the river. Drivers typically head south-west through Elephant and Castle and Kennington, then through Clapham or Wandsworth to the A3, finishing via Kingston or the A309. It is roughly 16 miles.

Connections east

Arriving from Gatwick on Thameslink
Thameslink trains from Gatwick call at London Bridge. If you have landed at Gatwick and taken the train into town, you are some distance from home. For future trips, a car straight from Gatwick Airport to Thames Ditton is usually quicker than going via London Bridge, and far easier with suitcases. Ask the office to quote both options next time you fly.
