Our school run taxi service helps Thames Ditton families when the school journey does not fit around work, a second child's timetable or a school that is not on a convenient bus route. Who uses a school run taxi?

How regular bookings work
- Tell us your timetable. Pickup address, school, times, days of the week and term dates.
- Agree a fixed fare. We quote for the regular journey so you can plan your budget.
- Confirm who is allowed to meet the child. We note the names of the adults at each end.
- Keep us updated. Let the office know about inset days, trips, clubs and illness as early as you can.
The details of regular contracts, such as how much notice is needed for cancellations, are agreed with the office when you set up the booking. Please ask if anything is unclear.
Safety comes first
All licensed private hire drivers in England must pass an enhanced DBS check as part of their licensing. Our drivers are licensed, and we will not change the pickup arrangements unless a parent or guardian confirms the change with the office. Child seats and boosters are available on request. Tell us each child's age and height when you book. For children with additional needs, please talk to us first so we can plan the right vehicle and approach.
Sharing a run with other families
When several families from the same street or estate go to the same school, a shared run often makes sense. Our 7 seater taxi can take a small group of pupils together, and the families decide between them how to split the cost. We need written agreement from each family on who is travelling and where each child is dropped.
Beyond the daily run
Families also book us for one-off school journeys: exam days, early starts for a residential trip, sixth-form open evenings, or collecting a child who is unwell at school. Boarding pupils coming home at the end of term can be collected from school or from the station, including Waterloo. Families travelling with pets can see our pet friendly taxi service, and larger families flying on holiday may want our 6 seater taxi.

All licensed private hire drivers in England must pass an enhanced DBS check as part of their licensing, and our drivers are licensed.

What happens if the school closes early or has an inset day?
Let the office know as soon as you can. Notice periods for changes are agreed when you set up the regular booking.
Can two families share one school run?
Yes, if both families agree in writing who is travelling and where each child is dropped. A 7 seater suits shared runs.
Do you only cover Thames Ditton schools?
